Contribution to / Achievements in the Industry
Innovation – led the Equity insurance team to introduce new underwriting practices and innovative products on life assurance that have improved risk assessment and ultimately performance of products. In March 2023, Equity Life Assurance (Kenya) after 11 months of operations in 2022 garnered awards for the Best Loss Ratio, Innovation, Best Practice and Group Life Company of the Year.
Innovation – launched and managed the first Umbrella Retirement Fund in East Africa to enable employers seeking to outsource pension management in its entirety.
Innovation – built in Insurance Wrappers into the Umbrella Retirement Fund to enable MSMEs benefit from bundling of risk and obtain better pricing without complexities.
Technology - design and implementation of the first end-to-end insurtech that is currently under implementation to provide fully digital insurance solution IFRS 17 Insurance Contracts implementation
Financial Literacy programs - Active participant in Financial Education and Training for individuals, companies and trustees in at least six (6) African countries on various finance topics Mentorship – Active participant in EQUITY for Equity Women leaders mentorship for Women leaders
