Contribution to the Industry
Contributed to the advancement of the industry by delivering continuous training in the insurance, reinsurance and actuarial science, both nationally and internationally.
At the international scale, I have conducted notable training programmes in Zimbabwe, Cape Town, and Mauritius. Through this initiative I trained approximatively 60 professionals at the Insurance Council of Zimbabwe;
In Cape Town, I trained about 50 participants at WAICA Re;
and in Mauritius, I delivered training to around 70 interns at the Insurance Institute of Mauritius.
About Viva Insurance:
In 2023, Viva Insurances became a pioneering company in Angola’s agricultural sector.
Within the first year, we insured 100,000 smallholder farmers spread across 7 provinces and 54 municipalities.
To promote financial inclusion, we launched a micro-health insurance product.
Our social impact was also reflected in the training of a cohort of interns, more than 60 of whom received free training.
In addition, we offered paid internship opportunities, with a salary three times higher than the minimum wage.
We also trained young graduates, thus offering them the opportunity to secure their first job.
We achieved our five-year business plan in just two years, moving from 24th to 5th place in 2022, a success made possible not only by the dedication of our 60 employees, but also through the commitment and support of thousands of others.
We have reached an average sales volume of 600 policies daily.
Digital era: we are committed to innovation and technology. To support this vision, we provide a digital platform accessible via mobile phones, tablets and other smart devices.
Clients can purchase insurance from the comfort of their homes.
We also processed a claim payment under a parametric insurance policy, providing compensation totalling 45,000.
